Services

Care that meets you where you are.

Three integrated services in one Lansing-area practice. Every offering is built on the same foundation: you are unique, and your protocol should be too.

01

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)

A look past the bloodwork.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is a functional lab that measures mineral and trace-element levels in a small hair sample. Where blood panels show what circulates today, HTMA shows where minerals have been stored — and depleted — across the past few months. The patterns and ratios on the report give a window into stress response, metabolic tendencies, and nutrient status that standard labs simply can't capture.

  • · A non-invasive functional lab using approximately a tablespoon of hair from the scalp.
  • · Processed by a CLIA-certified lab; results return in roughly two weeks.
  • · Mineral concentrations and key ratios — sodium/potassium, calcium/magnesium, calcium/phosphorus, zinc/copper — interpreted in context.
Full HTMA details Initial intake: 60–90 minutes.

Functional Nutrition Consultation

Food first. Sustainable. Built around you.

A functional nutrition consultation is a one-on-one session focused on the systems behind your symptoms — digestion, blood sugar, fatty acids, minerals, hydration — rather than a calorie target or a generic food list. The protocol is built around your biochemistry, your schedule, and the season of life you're actually in.

  • · A personalized, food-first approach grounded in the five foundations.
  • · Comprehensive intake covering history, lifestyle, prior labs, and current symptoms.
  • · Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ) used to surface foundational imbalances.

Therapeutic Massage

Bodywork that fits your wellness plan.

Therapeutic massage at Beo isn't a one-off escape — it's hands-on bodywork that fits inside the wellness plan we're building together. Sessions are customized to where your body is each week: a flare in the neck and shoulders, recovery from a hard training block, or simply a nervous system that needs help dropping out of high alert.

  • · Hands-on bodywork tailored to your goals and current physical state.
  • · Integration with the rest of your protocol — nutrition, HTMA, lifestyle anchors.
  • · Customized pressure and focus areas; nothing prescriptive about technique.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do you accept insurance? +

Functional nutrition consultations, HTMA, and therapeutic massage are not billed through insurance. Many clients use HSA/FSA funds for nutrition consults and massage; check with your plan administrator for current eligibility.

How long is a typical session? +

Initial nutrition consults run 60–90 minutes. Follow-ups are 45 minutes. Massage sessions are 60 or 90 minutes. HTMA report reviews are 60 minutes after lab results return (about two weeks from sample submission).

Where do I start if I'm not sure which service I need? +

A functional nutrition consult is the most common starting point — it covers history, goals, and an initial assessment, and gives us a clear sense of whether HTMA, massage, or both belong in the plan.

Can I combine services in one visit? +

Yes. Many clients book a nutrition follow-up alongside therapeutic massage so the body gets both bodywork and protocol refinement in the same trip.

Are services HSA/FSA eligible? +

Many HSA/FSA plans cover nutrition consultations and therapeutic massage when paired with appropriate documentation. We can provide receipts; check with your plan administrator on what they require.
